“Resident over 20 years in Laos, in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand, with several stays in Singapore, in China and in the United States, Vinca Migot makes her apprenticeship of painting in her childhood, initially in Laos, penetrated by the raw colors of merciless suns and by the differentiating colors of landscapes of monsoon.
Imbued with the art and the customs of all these real-life countries, she creates by her painting (oil, acrylic), sometimes as a representational artist, sometimes as a symbolist, a more and more cosmopolitan work (look at paintings such as “Passage”, “The Divas”, “The Spice route”, “The Peace and war spirits”, or “The Spirits of Legend”). So many themes she likes and which curiously also evoke Dubuffet (“Spirits of Magic”).”
